Elisha A. Sharp and his brother Elijah P. Sharp joined Captain Thomas G. Clark's Company, the 42nd Regiment of Mississippi Volunteers, Company F, on April 29, 1862. They mustered in on May 14, 1862 for 3 years of the War.
